How to Get Through

December is one of the hardest months to stay consistent with training.
Between social events, family gatherings, travel, and the general pace of the season, it’s easy for fitness to slip down the list. But staying active through the holidays doesn’t mean missing out on the celebrations, rather it’s about finding balance.
Here are some simple ways to make it work:
1. Keep it short, but stay consistent.
If you can’t fit in your usual hour-long session, 20 minutes of focused movement still counts. Strength circuits, mobility routines, or quick runs can help maintain fitness and boost energy levels.
2. Don’t chase perfection.
The holidays are about connection and enjoyment. One indulgent meal or a skipped session won’t undo your progress; consistency over time is what really matters.
3. Make movement social.
A walk with family, a quick gym session with a friend, or even a home workout before a night out keeps momentum going and helps balance the festive extras.
4. Focus on how you feel.
Training through the holidays helps reduce stress, improve sleep, and keep energy levels up; all things that make the season more enjoyable.
Fitness isn’t about restriction or guilt; it’s about feeling good, physically and mentally. If you stay active in small ways now, you’ll start the new year feeling strong, refreshed, and ready to go.
