I get asked a lot about what I consider to be the most important exercises to undertake when working out and for me, no set of exercises are more important than those we do for our legs.
Why? Because our legs are our foundation and give us strength. Without this strong foundation, we will struggle in life and with all the other exercises we deliver on or off the gym floor.
A simple set of leg exercises can include a combination of any of the following:
Squats: One of the best exercises to build strong legs.
Lunges: Which work the thighs, backside and abs'.
Single-leg deadlifts: Which will sculpt the backside, hips and upper legs.
Stability ball knee tucks: Undertaking these on a stability ball will build legs fast.
Step-ups: Similar to one-legged squats, these will work the thighs, hips, and backside.
Box jumps: Love these, which are one of the best ways to tone the legs, backside and core.
Resistance band leg presses: Use to mimic the movement of machine leg presses.
So always, always include a legs workout in your weekly routine and build your physical foundation.
On which everything else rests!
