Got to love the recent boom in resistance bands.
The use of this flexible, affordable and portable training equipment has taken off as the health crisis lockdown has continued and it's not hard to understand why.
Elastic/resistance bands have long been a much-overlooked piece of gym equipment (outshone by the heavier equipment and machines in the gym), but in terms of home or open-air exercise equipment, their versatility and portability really do deliver.
It is possible to structure a full-body workout with a simple, cost-effective set of bands, and there are hours of instructional videos online showing what can be achieved when using resistance bands to work the major muscle groups efficiently.
In terms of costs, expect to pay around £15 upwards for a simple set (with bands becoming more robust as the price point rises).
