Like many personal trainers and anyone who follows a scheduled fitness programme, I tend to carry all kinds of equipment around with me. At the moment, when training clients outdoors and in the parks of London, a lot of this equipment tends to be elastic and resistance bands.
After a while, these bands (and indeed, all such mobile equipment) gets to soak up sweat and tends to smell. It's inevitable and part of the process, unfortunately.
So, it's important to take the time to regularly wash (or, in this instance, soak) the equipment you use. Doing so is not only hygienic, but it also means that you're going to be more motivated to exercise, as your the equipment you use will be clean and will not smell.
I cannot emphasise the latter enough. Sweaty, smelly equipment, like the clothes you wear when training, is to be avoided and is a total motivation-killer where working out is concerned.
Clean your training equipment and exercise better. 👍 😎
