Ah, the invigorating pleasures of training outdoors in winter!
For some, this is their idea of hell. I train clients in the gym (ideally, when the gyms are open!), outdoors, as with Ross here, working his stuff in Southwark Park, and online.
Gym workouts have many benefits and can be more comfortable to undertake. But that does not mean that outdoors workouts cannot be stimulating and build fitness. Quite the reverse.
When playing rugby, I train outdoors (as well as in the gym) and I love it. The thrill of fresh air and the open spaces offered by training outdoors bring something positive to training and are to be embraced.
Particularly as the gyms are closed right now.
