It can be easy to over-complicate things where healthy eating is concerned.
I listen to some people speak about what should be eaten, when and in which quantities and it all becomes a little like a scientific lecture. Living by such culinary strictures may work for some people in their endless quest to live a healthy life but for myself, I would rather live a good life.
Eating well can also be an uncomplicated and straightforward process. Simple, affordable ingredients, such as on the plate above (one of my favourite light meals of fish, eggs and potatoes) are within the reach of most people and give the kind of nourishment and pleasure that we all need in our daily lives.
The key to eating well is to choose fresh ingredients where available and to avoid processed food as much as possible. Put those two principles into play and take the time to learn the fundamentals of cooking (one of the great skill sets any man or woman can learn!) and everything will be fine.
